Other Interesting Days Coming Up!
Monday, Feb 22 is "Be Humble Day" What does Scripture teach us about humility? Here are some verses to consider:
March is "National Women's History Month" - Study the women saints of our nation!

St. Marianne Cope, O.S.F.Missionary to the lepers of Molokai, Hawaii

St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, R.S.C.J.Missionary to Native Americans

Classroom ideas:
- Psalm 25:9 - He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
- Proverbs 18:12 - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor.
- Luke 18:14 - I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.
- Colossians 3:12 - So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

Classroom ideas:
- Have students study these women of faith then video tape "interviews" with these saints. Post the video on vimeo or youtube.
- Have students create online digital posters researching these saints.
- Have students consider service projects or outreach projects that highlight the efforts of one of these saints.

COMMENT QUESTION/DISCUSSION:
This past year has had a focus on the Strong Catholic Family. There are certainly many challenges to engaging families in faith formation. Since the focus began in September, have you had any family events or new initiatives that you started that has encouraged a renewed focus on family faith formation? Share your ideas, concerns, hopes, etc.
