We are rolling out the Red Carpet!
The Eastern Region Office is working on the final details for our May celebration dinner "Shine Like the Stars". A little bit of Hollywood theme as we thank those who have been called to ministry as they bring light to the world, even in the darkest moments. They guide others to Jesus and light the way. Our catechists are VIPs in our parishes and in the Church. Let's give them a hand and celebrate their work on May 16th. It's not too late to send in your reservations. I will continue taking reservations through out the week, as long as we don't go over the limit for the the hall. Call or email your reservations with names and meal selections for each guest.
Pathways to Ministry Dinner - June 8
More information will be coming soon. Anyone receiving certifications from the Eastern Region will be notified no later than Thursday, May 12. Most have already been notified. If you do not receive any notifications of catechists being certified from your parish that you know completed certification, please contact me ASAP at 797-4030.

Are you looking for something tor your students and familites to do this summer to stay connected to the parish?
How about introducing them to a little “flat” Ignatian Spirituality! Lisa Spooner
provided a “Flat Jesus” to all her students in elementary grades and having them take pictures of “where they find Jesus in their lives.” The pictures are then emailed or sent to her to be displayed in the church. Attached you will find her directions and the template for Flat Jesus.

Make your own Sundae and Scream/Talk about whatever!
I am hosting our first annual "Scream Day!" It's a shout out day for everyone with a sundae treat. It's a day to share ideas we did, what ideas we have in the future, what our hopes and dreams are, what our worries are...pretty much anything goes! Just get it off your chest! Scream! Shout! Herald! Whisper! Chat! Announce! Let's get together and hash it out on our first "I Scream" day!
Last week our staff had a meeting. It was my turn to do prayer, so I thought I would share it with you, too. Attached in this week's newsletter is a Prayer for May which you may want to use. May you be blessed with a wonderful and joyful month of May!!
