Preparing for this meeting has been a very prayerful experience for me as I read Henri Nouwnen's "Life of the Beloved". I wanted to share this with you, but in terms of how we lead in ministry. We are all Beloved, as leaders and those we lead. Jesus, the Beloved Son, showed his disciples how to be servant leaders. As Beloved Daughters and Sons through our baptisms, we too, are to be an example of servant leaders.
Below you will find this month's packet of handouts and the professional development presentation.
As catechetical leaders, we have seen that the parents of our students need to renew their faith, or in other words, be "re-evangelized". Alpha is a short program that brings adults together with a meal, a presentation and conversation, that rekindles the hearts of the faithful.
If you think you would like to offer Alpha or if you just want to see what Alpha is about, I encourage you to come to the "Explore Alpha" evening at the Good News Center.

McDevitt Grant Presentations
McDevitt Grants for Evangelization
Speaking of Alpha, many costs for running Alpha in your parish can be offset with grant money from the McDevitt Grant. Of course, that is only one of many ways you can use this grant towards evangelization efforts in your parish. If you have an idea for revitalizing your parish through an evangelization event or program, think about applying for a McDevitt grant. There must be parish representation at one of the McDevitt grant presentations in order to apply. Please come to hear about how the McDevitt grant can help your parish efforts and the process of applying.
Tuesday, March 6 at 3:30pm OR 6:00pm
Contact Maureen Alessio at email@example.com to make a reservation. Walk-ins are also welcome. Reservations just help us plan better.
Heritage Technology Grant: Faith Formation in the Digital Era
The Office of Faith Formation is offering a brand NEW grant from the Heritage funds to be used specifically for technology in the faith formation programs. We know our students are using digital technologies socially and in their schools. Being in faith formation, we have a responsibility to model Digital Discipleship, especially in the digital social forums. We are also noting that students learn differently today because of the many digital tools and the wealth of instant information. Publishers are now beginning to provide more and more resources and activities online for students and families. They are also beginning to provide learning management systems for parishes.
The time is now to not only prepare for a digital future... the future is now! This grant will help provide you with the means to purchase the hardware necessary to develop your technology plan for faith formation. See the slide presentation and grant packet link. For more information, contact Andrea Slaven at firstname.lastname@example.org
